Materiality is the first of a three part series exploring the colourful world of Paola Lenti. Working with and representing her for nearly 20 years we have extensive insight and experience of this distinctive brand. Through this intimate relationship we endeavour to share with you the exclusive materials and meticulous craftsmanship that offer a world of possibilities to erase the boundaries between inside and outside.

INNOVATION

In the early 2000's Paola Lenti begins her search for an innovative material for the outdoors. Discovering a sample of a technical fabric she was intrigued by the fact that warp and weft were the same size thus offering the possibility to produce a round yarn, like sailing ropes capable of resisting water and ultraviolet rays. A yarn to be transformed into high performing outdoor fabrics. Twenty years on the Paola Lenti Aqua Collection is recognised across the world as the most beautiful outdoor furniture to be found anywhere.

Rope Cord

With a chromatic palette of more than 400 shades, Rope Cord offers the possibility to create outdoor spaces inspired by the colours of the garden.

Nido

Designed by Patricia Urquiola & Eliana Gerotto, Nido is a soft and enveloping refuge. Rope Cord is hand woven over a structure in inox steel, made even more cozy by a set of soft pillows set.

Treccia

Treccia braid is available both in solid colours and in two colours combinations. Produced in Rope, Aquatech and now Twiggy, Treccia resists environmental factors, UV rays, sea and pool water.

Frame

The elegant Frame chaise are upholstered in tubular Treccia fabric wrapped over an aluminium profile. The Frame series also includes a dining chair, modular sofas, armchairs and benches.

Wara

Wara fabric is made of a yarn that reproduces the natural effect of woven straw. The two tone weave gives richness to this elegant and robust material.

Toku

Toku is a shading structure made of cedar heartwood, with a roof and adjustable side panels, the seat pads are upholstered with richly coloured Wara fabric

Twiggy

Twiggy, is a 100% recyclable thread, a single material yarn that is woven, into rope, upholstery fabric or braid. Twiggy is waterproof, highly durable, easy to clean and resistant to UV rays.

Canvas

A crisp and elegant sofa, the sling style Twiggy fabric backs and arms of Canvas are perfect for town gardens, poolside or yachts.

Jardin

In a tribute to a series of furnishings that the Cuban designer, architect Clara Posset, conceived in 1957 for the Hotel Marqués in Acapulco PaolaLenti craeted the Jardin series. The fixed bed of the Jardin sun lounger is directly hand woven onto the gloss varnished aluminium structure with flat cords in colourful Twiggy yarn
