Hampstead House
In 2020 as the country locked down we started our work on this extraordinary project. A blank canvas of five distinct terraces at lower, ground, ground and street levels. After many years our client had created their dream home for their young family. The low energy house, uncompromisingly modern, sits deep into the site, the sedum roof toping 5 levels of living and garage space.
With the experience of creating a stunning interior and an intimate understanding of the client's wishes, the interior designer interpreted the clients wishes with great clarity, at our first meeting with the client and designer in the wintery garden of our Studio, we developed a brief for the furniture for each terrace.
And inspired by the the garden, planted with a gentle palette of colours including white, soft pinks and lavenders, a soft colour palette from the Twiggy cord range.
The five terraces have distinct character, extending the indoor living spaces to the outdoors. They are designed for family, friends and entertaining.
The neutral coloured Float lounge chair, Zoe rug, curved stone Isole table and Monsuier tricot floor lamps turn a simple courtyard into a magical restful space.
The family terrace, located 1/2 level below the ground level is framed with a living wall filled with lights. Here we created a relaxed lounge space with a generous L shaped Canvas sofa, colourful Otto chairs and ottomans and lounge tables all sitting on overlapping Paralleo and Zoe outdoor rugs.
The combination of soft pastel shades throughout the family spaces reflects the gentle flower colours.
