This breathtaking island beach house includes a huge terrace that spans the width of the property and leads down to the pool. The colour palette is neutral but infused with a variety of textures, such as rope cord on the sofas. A dining area was created at one end of the terrace, while sofas that sit in front of the the glazing had to be low as not to obstruct the view of the sea from the living spaces. Instead of armchairs, poufs were used to create a relaxed, versatile seating.
Furniture for this project had to be fit for purpose. Salty air meant the outdoor furniture had to be made to survive the elements. It also needed to be light enough to move.
